Why no flash on iPhone?

Steve Jobs had to make a decision. Flash or HML5? The easy way would be flash. The correct way is of course HTML5. Flash was never meant to be a permanent solution. It was created to satisfy the needs of older times, and to use it on a browser it had to be installed as a plug-in. This would always be of course a security hazard. What people don’t understand is that flash represents OLD and sluggish! HTML5 represents NEW and better!

HTML5 has only advantages. It’s Open, faster, lighter and safer. Any way you look at it, it’s simply better than flash. It’s only disadvantage, is that it hasn’t yet been adopted by everyone. The lazy ones are kicking, but if they want to survive, their only choice is to evolve.

Why would anyone want to use older technologies, when new and cutting edge is available? Should I predict the future? No long from now, flash will be kicked out of the internet, and HTML5 will take its place. It’s only the logical evolution of things.

I think Steve made the right decision, and even if it appears to be a selfish move, to ban such a technology from a device used by millions, it was about time someone made that move! He took the responsibility to give all the big boys, including Adobe, a big push towards the future. Only time will tell who will adopt it, and who will stay still.
